Lake Pointe Church

![]() Dear Lake Pointe Family & Friends,
For the past 9 years my family and I have been involved in North American Church-Planting. Of those years, we have spent seven serving Lake Pointe Church, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We have seen God do some amazing things! For example, dozens have come to the saving grace of Christ through our ministries. We have also been privileged to have been actively engaged in both local and international mission focuses, and have mobilized many into Christian service. I, Pastor Mike, have also preached & taught God's Word (the Bible) with passion & without compromise and feel that this would not have been possible without your prayers, encouragement, mission and financial support. Thank you!!!
The work has been exhausting at times. If I were to exclude mission activities, I have only taken one day off from a weekly worship service in seven years (Labor Day weekend, 2009). For the past two years, I have been bi-vocational in order to financially support my family, sometimes averaging 70-80 hours (or more) of work per week. Even though God has blessed me with high endurance, I, nonetheless, cannot maintain such an intense pace indefinitely. That said, through much agonizing consideration, I feel it is time for a rest (Sabbatical) from church planting.
Please know that Viki and I will not be taking a vacation from God. We will be seeking His will on all fronts, including open doors for future ministry opportunities. My confession to you is that I am addicted to the cause of advancing the gospel of Christ and will be involved in one fashion or another in this context. Please pray for the Terry family as we transition. Pray that we grow closer to God each and every day. Pray for the 45 + individuals that made up Lake Pointe Church as they find new church homes. Finally, praise God for allowing us to experience His blessings, as well as challenges, these past seven years. It has been faith-building to see His hand providentially and miraculously work. Thank you for being part of something great!
Go for God!
